Budding young scientist or engineer?

Thursday, January 26th, 2006

Lyal came home from school the other day pretty excited (for him) about two of his classes. He stated that he had labs in both chemistry and physics, his two favorites. He supposedly got the highest semester grade of anyone taking Chem 1, and scored nearly as well in Physics 1.
The interesting thing […]

Cold Again

Wednesday, January 25th, 2006

Not referring to the temperature, instead the bug that I have again. Twice in one winter, this is really fun. This version seems to be a different variant, something Dolores found at work. She has a bad cough; mine is not so bad, but I still feel like a truck ran over me. Sleep […]

She knows that her next steps is to […]

Lyal has shoulder surgery

Thursday, January 5th, 2006

Lyal had surgery today on his right shoulder.  It was a same day scope procedure; they removed a bone spur that was keeping his shoulder from working correctly.
He had been suffering for several months, even through football season. He wore a shoulder brace to keep it in place.  Hopefully removing the spur will diminish […]

Thursday, January 5th, 2006

I found out today that Mom is in the hospital again. I didn”t get a call, but did get an IM later that night. She picked up a bad cough a few weeks ago and her condition just went downhill until she developed pneumonia. I spoke with her Dr.; in addition to […]

Tuesday, January 3rd, 2006

Qwest.net chooses to use a SMAP block list that excludes a very large hosting company for 10 spam reports over the last three years.
Latter-dayVillage.com received several bounce notices from users with qwest.net email addresses. One of them was kind enough to call Qwest, where one of there customer service reps disclosed the spam blacklist they […]
